Happy New week peeps… I hope everyone had a good weekend? Today, I am happy to share with you some knowledge I gained over the weekend…
1 Timothy 6:6 New International Version (NIV) But Godliness with contentment is great gain. Be happy, be satisfied, be enough, be content. Most of us are so focused on other people’s accomplishments that we forget why somethings are as it is in our life. Don’t be bitter about that pregnancy you miscarried, the job or promotion you didn’t get, the partner that left of kicked you out of your home, the man/woman that dumped you; cos as cliché’ as it sounds GOD ALWAYS KNOWS BEST!
Stop thinking about how big your neighbor’s house is, how great your friend’s job is, or how perfect your best friend’s relationship is when yours is riddled with problems. You can’t change what other people are doing, and you’ll never get anywhere if you compare yourself to others instead of thinking about your life on its own terms. You will always be able to find someone who is happier, healthier, richer, prettier, and just more together than you are. But why look? Have you thought of this this way… that while you are jealous of your friend’s relationship, she might also be jealous of your awesome career? There are always reasons to be jealous of others, and reasons for others to be jealous of you. But if you stop comparing completely, you’ll only be doing yourself a favor. Another area to be cautious of is social media, it can make you feel like whatever you have just isn’t enough.
In Philippians 4:11, Paul said, “I have learned in whatsoever state I am in therewith to be content.” The Amplified Bible describes being content as “satisfied to the point where you are not disturbed or disquieted”. It doesn’t say satisfied to the point where you don’t want change, but satisfied for now until GOD BRINGS THE CHANGE you desire.. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to, “Have no anxiety about anything, but in all things by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, continue to let God know what you want”,
Let us not forget Romans 8:28 that says,“All things work together and are fitting into a plan for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose.”Even the hard times can work into God’s perfect plan for your life. Cast your care, and be a thankful person. Take inventory each day of what you have instead of counting up all the things that you have not. Meditate on what God has done in your life instead of what you are still waiting on Him to do. Your flesh wants you to concentrate on what you don’t have. Your spirit wants you to ask God for what you don’t have, yet concentrate on what you do have.
Trust God! Always know God loves you. He is a good God who only does good things. Always be thankful and content knowing that His way is perfect, and He brings with Him a great recompense of reward for those who trust in Him.
I’m a great fan of the classic black and white. Totally versatile and timeless! What if i told you that this is a two-piece outfit and not a dress? Yup its a top and skirt, all you need to create the perfect illusion of a One-Piece outfit. is a belt. I kept it subtle with a matching necklace, a simple black heels and bag to compliment it.
