Distressed jeans are back and I seriously can’t imagine them ever going out of season again. During the weekends. I stick to my own style in the truest sense. That means denim and top rule and are the first things I reach for when getting dressed. But sometimes you have to actually go somewhere on the weekend and a simple top just won’t do. Distressed jeans has a super casual feel, and it can be hard to make it look put-together and polished. But it’s definitely not impossible! In fact, when styled correctly, distressed jeans looks seriously street-chic and so cool. You just have to know what to pair it with so that it looks less grungy and more “look how awesome my style is.”

Distressed jeans are the perfect way to add a touch of edge to your look but for a more formal casual look, pair these jeans with a dressy top to create a contrasting style which is striking and effective. This top with detachable peplum is old, If you have been following along for a while you will recognize them from the post about unplanned outfits here. Add heels and a blazer(optional) with your distressed jeans for a more professional vibe; well as professional as ripped jeans can be. This style is both glamorous and casual, and is therefore perfect for almost any semi casual-semi formal event as well as evening engagements.

Another part of this outfit is something that I lust after and always want to compliment my outfits; a Nubuke Ghana Purity Clutch. They seem to sell out so fast. I kept kicking myself every time for not snapping one up and so when this lovely one became available, I had to have it.
