Denim x Denim
Todays look plays off my love for denim on denim, which I think by the way will never get old and will always be on trend.
Some rules are surely meant to be broken! Example of this is the denim on denim trend also known as double denim, denim clash, etc… Denim is taking over the world by storm right now! Thankfully the interest is still there, even after Britney Spears & Justin Timberlake almost ruined it for us back in 2001 lol.
I’ve been wanting to do a denim on denim look for as long as I remember, the only thing that was holding me back was endless choices. Well I finally found the perfect denim combo! I absolutely love it! I personally love a good pencil cut denim skirt, its uber-feminine, fashionable, comfy, versatile, trendy and suitable for any occasion and situation. I think it’s a great choice for curvy girls as it hugs the curves and showcases your figure. I wore it with nude heels from desire shoes and more and a red clutch for a simple, classy look, but you can totally rock this with statement necklace if you want!
Double denim for women comes with a lot more options than it does for men, for example, you can wear so many different combinations – denim shirts, jackets, and vests can go really well with skinny jeans, denim shorts, skinny flares and even denim skirts like mine. You can wear denim shirts with dungarees or even layer denim vests over chambray dresses! The combinations are endless.
I tried something a little more on-trend this season, by tying the denim shirt around my waist so it falls over the skirt, this works really well and it’s a great way to incorporate versatility into your look
